There's nothing worse for a singer than congested sinuses. If it builds up, it can give you terrible migraines and make you end up taking antibiotics. All that can ben avoided, prevented and even treated naturally if you act fast and keep a self-care schedule.

Essential oils can add a touch of self-care to your routine. Although they are under-rated by many, they can be very powerful and invigorating.
You don't need any fancy equipment. Boil some water and fill a big mug only half way through. Add 1 drop of each of the following essential oils: peppermint, tea tree and eucalyptus. Hold the mug close to your face, carefully no to get burned. This is great to do before going to sleep. You can leave the mug on the nightstand and let your bedroom smell nice and fresh.
If you just have peppermint or eucalyptus, just add 1-2 drops and do it anyways. You can have a stronger effect if you use a bigger bowl, more hot water, double the drops, and cover yourself with a towel, so that the steam is concentrated around you. You can also clean your nostrils using a neti pot. But that's a subject for another post.
